Founded in 1888, The English Football League (EFL) is the largest single body of professional clubs in European football and is responsible for administering the second, third and fourth football divisions in England.
As part of their role, they provide a digital platform which gives clubs the tools and support to build and operate their individual websites.
After developing the pitch-winning designs, I directed a team of digital designers, working in collaboration with teams of UX consultants and developers, across two locations as we delivered the new platform over the course of 9 months.
One of the key challenges of the project, was designing an accessible and foolproof set of components and templates, that could be restyled in each clubs brand whilst offering them the flexibility to customise and make them their own.
